Leaning Pine Timber Co. is a small, family-owned and operated company located in Sugar Grove, NC (approximately 25 minutes northwest of Boone). Nathan Mills founded this company in 2023, where he began using only his chainsaw mill. He later integrated the use of a bandsaw mill, which drastically improved the production and quality of cuts. In early 2024, he constructed his first solar kiln to dry his slabs and plans to construct more throughout the year.
