Our Company

Leaning Pine Timber is a small sawmill company owned and operated by a husband (Nathan) and wife (Susan) duo. They moved to the Boone area so Susan could attend graduate school at Appalachian State in 2018. After graduation, they both fell in love with the area and wanted to stay. They bought a house in Sugar Grove and slowly started expanding their milling business on their property. They began by using only a chainsaw mill and now have a bandsaw mill, making the milling process more efficient. They recently built a solar kiln for drying wood and plan to make more.
